The Alpha line, designed in 1952 by Hans Harald Rath, is the epitome of beauty and functionality. Post-war Islamic works impacted the design of thin hand-cut muslin glass, which was inspired by the form of a Baroque copper cup. The glasses are totally stackable and are available in six distinct hues.

Meet the Designer

Lobmeyr's magnificent crystal collections are the culmination of over two centuries and six generations of glassmaking expertise. Founded in Vienna's Weihburggasse by Josef Lobmeyr senior, the company immediately gained notoriety as the official supplier to the Imperial Court. With the focus on the current interpretation of glass, Lobmeyr has never stopped cultivating its rich history resulting in a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics.
