Maison Pichon Uzès
Steeped in tradition and southern light, Maison Pichon Uzès traces a remarkable lineage of ceramic mastery, passed from father to son since 1802. Across eight generations, the family has preserved its heritage while continually pushing the boundaries of ceramic art.
Their journey began with the discovery of the region’s rich red clay, which inspired their first creations in the 1950s. Today, the family continues to explore the creative potential of earthenware through a nuanced palette of over 25 colours and a vast mould archive dating back to the 19th century, most of which has yet to be used.
Each piece is crafted using traditional methods such as stamping, pressing, and firing, with hours of handwork devoted to the house’s iconic corbeilles tressées—woven basket forms shaped entirely by hand. A living testament to the enduring spirit of craftsmanship, Maison Pichon Uzès remains one of France’s most treasured ceramic maisons.
