Founded in Vienna's Weihburggasse by Josef Lobmeyr senior, the company immediately gained notoriety as the official supplier to the Imperial Court. The Alpha line, designed in 1952 by Hans Harald Rath, is the epitome of beauty and functionality. Post-war Islamic works impacted the design of thin hand-cut muslin glass, which was inspired by the form of a Baroque copper cup. The pitcher comes in six different colours, and matching water glasses are available.
