Lobmeyr's magnificent crystal collections are the culmination of over two centuries and six generations of glassmaking expertise. Founded in Vienna's Weihburggasse by Josef Lobmeyr senior, the company immediately gained notoriety as the official supplier to the Imperial Court. With the focus on the current interpretation of glass, Lobmeyr has never stopped cultivating its rich history resulting in a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics.
With the opening of the Suez Canal, oriental ornamentation became increasingly popular in the 1870s in Europe. This refreshing series of tumblers with colourful flower ornaments is inspired by a wide range of decors designed by Gustav Schmoranz for Lobmeyr in 1898.
